The President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin will conduct negotiations with the Malaysian Prime Minister in Vladivostok.
The President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin will conduct full-fledged negotiations with one of the main guests of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), the Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, in Vladivostok on the 4th of September.
The Aide to the Russian Federation President Yury Ushakov stated that within the framework of the forum, both narrow-format meetings and extended talks will be hosted. Various issues of the Russian-Malaysian cooperation will be discussed: economic issues, as well as international and regional issues.
Yury Ushakov further added that Russia and Malaysia share similar stances on most international issues, constructively cooperate in various multilateral formats, primarily in the UN. In addition, Russia and Malaysia maintain stable trade and economic relations. In 2023 the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $3.5bln.
